Give Them A Chance Auction for Second Chance Ranch

Wednesday September 27th at 10 AM CST through Saturday October 7th at 10 PM CST

Second Chance Ranch has served the community since 1999. They held the record for the longest standing canine and equine rehabilitation and adoptive program in the Pacific Northwest before transitioning into an equine facilitated learning / coaching program.

Their program, “Leading with Horses,” offers Equine Facilitated Learning and Psychotherapy (EFP, EFL), where retired racehorses become “coaches.” These magnificent athletes partner with people to demonstrate their exceptional capacity of teaching and healing abilities. The mission of Leading With Horses is to provide solutions for social, emotional, and behavioral growth through direct intervention and community outreach.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will help Tim, a 6 year old Thoroughbred gelding, trail prospect and companion. He has chips in both knees and needs surgery. SCR has had an expert surgical consult and Tim’s prognosis is good: he will be sufficiently sound to be a trail horse after the surgery. SCR has applied for a medical assistance grant, but they need additional funds to ensure that Tim has the future he deserves.
